Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve Jeltz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Luis Gracia!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracia fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jeltz is looking for a counter combo.
Jeltz's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gracia under the eye.

Jeltz gets a clinch.
Jeltz tries to stall but Gracia uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Gracia gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Gracia slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jeltz wants to stand up but Gracia is controlling him.
Gracia showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Gracia is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracia's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracia works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Gracia with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Gracia works his way into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Gracia scores with a couple of short elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

It looks like Gracia might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Gracia has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Gracia looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Gracia advances to mount.
Gracia pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Jeltz really wants to buck Gracia off and get back to his feet.
Jeltz wants to hold on but Gracia pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracia tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Gracia is working for a guillotine from mount but Jeltz frees his head quite easily.
Gracia controlling the pace for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jeltz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gracia is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gracia extends the arm and Jeltz is forced to tap!
