Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pyotr Korobeikin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Hoodlum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pyotr Korobeikin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, The Hoodlum!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoodlum dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hoodlum has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Korobeikin is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Korobeikin takes a swing at Hoodlum's ribcage but misses.
The crowd cheers as Hoodlum lands an impressive looking overhand right. Korobeikin doesn't seem phased though.
Hoodlum pushes Korobeikin away with a front kick.

Korobeikin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Korobeikin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hoodlum does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Korobeikin is working for a submission of some sort.
Korobeikin landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Korobeikin is working for a kimura but Hoodlum is defending it quite comfortably.
Korobeikin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Korobeikin wants to take a breather but Hoodlum is having none of it.

Hoodlum lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Korobeikin circles away quickly and effectively.
No luck for Korobeikin with that takedown attempt.

Korobeikin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hoodlum throws a nice looking combination but Korobeikin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hoodlum lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Hoodlum is looking for the big counter here.

and Hoodlum counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Korobeikin thinking.
Korobeikin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hoodlum.
Hoodlum steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Korobeikin.
Hoodlum catches Korobeikin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Korobeikin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hoodlum to the mat! Hoodlum manages to get full guard.
Hoodlum seems keen to control Korobeikin's posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Hoodlum dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hoodlum connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Hoodlum has control of Korobeikin's left arm, preventing Korobeikin from doing any damage.
We've been hearing that Korobeikin has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Korobeikin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Korobeikin takes one to the chin there.
Hoodlum throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Hoodlum is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Korobeikin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hoodlum is not content to let Korobeikin control the position.
Hoodlum holds on to Korobeikin's head and controls the position momentarily.

Korobeikin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hoodlum, who protects the arm well.
You can see the frustration on Hoodlum's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Korobeikin fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Korobeikin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hoodlum has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hoodlum wants to control but Korobeikin postures up.

Hoodlum is letting Korobeikin control him for a moment.

Korobeikin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hoodlum tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Korobeikin is in Hoodlum's guard.

Korobeikin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hoodlum is just riding it out for now. Korobeikin eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hoodlum is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Korobeikin is pressing down on Hoodlum's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hoodlum is holding on for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Korobeikin is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Hoodlum's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
No luck for Korobeikin with that takedown attempt.
Hoodlum lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Korobeikin at a distance.
Hoodlum scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Korobeikin doesn't seem bothered though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hoodlum thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Korobeikin if he has to take too many more of those.
Hoodlum bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Korobeikin's head.
Korobeikin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hoodlum counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hoodlum throws a shot to the body.
Hoodlum feints and then cracks Korobeikin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Korobeikin down.

Hoodlum scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Korobeikin doesn't seem bothered though.

Hoodlum connects with a good right hand that stumbles Korobeikin. Korobeikin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

The Hoodlum comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hoodlum has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
