Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dewey Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caddy Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caddy Gordon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dewey Cannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Caddy Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gordon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cannon's waist but Cannon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gordon off to one side.
Gordon pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Cannon lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Cannon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cannon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gordon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cannon forces Gordon back against the cage and clinches.
Cannon keeps control of Gordon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cannon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gordon swats away the attempt to clinch by Cannon.
Gordon pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Cannon has closed the distance and engaged Gordon in a clinch.

Gordon shoots in and drives through. Cannon sprawls well.
Cannon is looking to clinch but Gordon is avoiding it.

A head kick misses from Cannon.
Cannon slaps away a takedown attempt from Gordon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cannon thinks about countering with a head kick.
Gordon shoots for a takedown but Cannon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cannon went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Gordon drives through and clinches with Cannon against the cage.
Cannon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gordon is trying to force a seperation but Cannon has the dominant position.
Gordon tries for a takedown but Cannon manages to get underhooks.

Cannon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gordon doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Cannon counters with a two punch combo.
Gordon dives in and grabs Cannon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cannon pushes down on Gordon's head and hops out.
Cannon throws a quick counter head kick but Gordon was just out of range.
Gordon looks winded!

Gordon gets tackled into the cage by Cannon. Cannon maintains the clinch.
Cannon is trying to pull guard but Gordon has him pressed against the cage.

Gordon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Cannon.
Cannon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gordon throws a sloppy head kick and Cannon moves out of range easily.
Gordon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cannon counters with a one-two to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cannon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gordon quickly recovers to half guard.
Cannon is taking a breather. Gordon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Cannon feints and as Gordon raises his hands in defense, Cannon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cannon wants to stand but Gordon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Dewey Cannon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caddy Gordon.
Gordon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cannon tries to pull guard but Gordon holds him up against the cage and eventually Cannon drops back down to his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Gordon's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Cannon fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Gordon is looking to take this one to the mat.

Cannon is trying to pull guard but Gordon turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gordon jumps guard but Cannon turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Cannon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gordon can do to turn this around?

Gordon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cannon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gordon is breathing heavily.

Cannon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gordon, up you get!

Cannon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Dewey Cannon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gordon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cannon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cannon's back!
Cannon rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Gordon is pressing down on Cannon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cannon is holding on for now.

Gordon stands up and beckons Cannon to join him on the feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Gordon or perhaps it was just good defense by Cannon, which made it look bad.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Gordon shoots for a double leg takedown but Cannon sprawls well. He's pushed Gordon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gordon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cannon circles away.
Gordon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

With the fighters up against the cage, Cannon throws an elbow but misses.

Cannon jumps guard and drags Gordon to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Cannon is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gordon presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Gordon stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Cannon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Gordon has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cannon after a bit of a struggle.

Cannon gets control of Gordon's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cannon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Caddy Gordon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dewey Cannon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Gordon is looking to work some ground and pound but Cannon has wrist control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dewey Cannon showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cannon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
