Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Putra Rajasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albein Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Putra Rajasa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Putra Rajasa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Albein Rock!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Hemmingworth and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rajasa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rock as he jumps to the side.
Rock fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rajasa attempts a counter takedown but Rock avoids it well and moves away.
Rock darts in trying to clinch
and Rock takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rock is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rajasa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Rajasa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rock throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Rock looks winded!
Rock tries to get to full guard but Rajasa has control of the leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rajasa wants to work for an arm triangle but Rock is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rajasa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Rajasa drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rajasa engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Rajasa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rock swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rajasa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Rock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rajasa.
Rajasa drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rock sprawls and moves away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rajasa is defended easily by Rock.

Rajasa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rock's guard.

Rock tries to strike from the bottom.
Rock is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rajasa is controlling him.

Rock is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rajasa defends well.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Rajasa stuffs the takedown attempt from Rock. Rock gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Rajasa. No joy for Rock on that attempt.
Rock fails with the takedown.
Putra Rajasa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Albein Rock.

Rajasa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rock to the ground. Rajasa is now in Rock's guard.

Rajasa gets to his feet. Rock looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Rajasa shoots in for a takedown but Rock shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rajasa swivels and escapes.
Rajasa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Rajasa shoots and misses
and Rock counters with a stiff right hand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rajasa shoots in and drives through. Rock sprawls well.

Rajasa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rock was covering up waiting for the punch and Rajasa finishes the takedown easily into guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rock holds on and takes a little breather.
Rock is trying to control the position but Rajasa postures up.
Rock is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Rajasa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Rajasa stops Rock from standing up.
Rajasa controlling from the top position.
Rajasa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rajasa postures up and lands a big shot to Rock's brow.
Rock tries to strike from the bottom.
Rajasa slips nicely into half guard.
Rajasa controlling the action here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rajasa lands a nice short elbow.
Rajasa scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Rajasa is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Rajasa passes the guard and advances to mount!
Rock is desperately trying to improve his position but Rajasa has a good base and remains in mount.
Rajasa content just to control the position here.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Rajasa.
Rock is trying to escape the mount.
Rock is still trying to improve position.

Rajasa sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Rock is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Rajasa locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Rock is forced to tap!
