The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Regal with a nice cross.
Patterson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Regal connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Patterson scrambles back to his feet.
Regal has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Patterson.
Regal misses with a series of wild punches.
Regal scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Patterson tries to keep at a distance but Regal has taken the fight into the clinch.
Regal has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Patterson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Patterson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

David Regal dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Patterson needs to keep his hands up - Regal had a free shot at his head there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Regal moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Regal might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Regal cracks Patterson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Patterson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Regal to score with a decent uppercut.
Patterson tries to clinch but Regal is having none of it.
Regal swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Patterson misses with a body kick.
Regal has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Regal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Patterson is looking to counter the offense by Regal and move into the clinch.
Patterson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Regal getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Regal scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Oh Patterson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Regal feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pattersons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circle momentarily. Regal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Regal jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Regal cracks Patterson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Regal Rushes Patterson and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Patterson is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Regal Piles on the pressure and Patterson crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Regal!
