Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michel shoots in for a takedown but McGregor shows good takedown defense.
McGregor takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Michel shoots in and gets a takedown into McGregor's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Michel looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
McGregor is trying to control the position but Michel postures up.
McGregor is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Michel is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Michel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

McGregor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McGregor lands in his opponent's guard.

Michel wants to get back to his feet but McGregor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
McGregor passes Michel's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Michel looks like he's trying to stand up.

McGregor looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Michel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. McGregor lands a nice short elbow.
McGregor prevents Michel from standing back up.

McGregor is working for a submission of some sort.

Michel has one foot on McGregor's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Michel fails with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by McGregor or perhaps it was just good defense by Michel, which made it look bad.
Michel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McGregor appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McGregor gets a double leg takedown into Michel's guard.

Michel looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! McGregor has picked Michel up and slammed him! Michel can't keep hold of the triangle and McGregor manages to pass to side control!

McGregor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

McGregor is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Michel looks calm but he's in trouble here. McGregor gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Michel is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! McGregor lets go of the hold and Michel can pop his arm back in it's socket.
