Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marat Sanayev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinny Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vinny Mack has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vinny Mack!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mack tries to clinch up.
Sanayev is looking for a counter combo.
A head kick misses from Mack.
Sanayev avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sanayev drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mack sprawls and moves away.
Mack doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanayev circles away.
Sanayev changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Mack has Sanayev up against the cage in a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Sanayev.
Mack can't break the clinch.
Sanayev has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mack is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Sanayev tries for a takedown. No joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mack prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marat Sanayev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mack is trying to force a seperation but Sanayev has the dominant position.

Mack escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sanayev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mack tries to avoid it but Sanayev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mack to the ground. Mack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sanayev drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mack sprawls and moves away.
Mack moves in looking to clinch but Sanayev pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mack looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vinny Mack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mack tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanayev paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Mack doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanayev circles away.
Sanayev dives in for a single leg takedown but Mack sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Sanayev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mack pinned against the cage. Mack gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mack misses with a head kick.
Sanayev drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mack sprawls and moves away.
Mack scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Mack tries to clinch up

and Sanayev counters with a takedown into side control.
Mack tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sanayev scores with punches from side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mack is pushing Sanayev's head away, looking to escape. Sanayev manages to hold on to the position though.

Sanayev is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mack is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sanayev lands a big left to the face of Mack, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Sanayev and another - Mack is out! Sanayev stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Marat Sanayev!
After the fight, Marat Sanayev was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
