The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazza swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mazza dips to his left and cracks Ramires with an uppercut!
Mazza looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mazza jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ramires goes for a double leg but Mazza avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mazza continues to drive forward.
Ramires looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mazza connects with a jab.
Nice takedown defense from Mazza. No joy for Ramires on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fernando Ramires. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ramires takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ramires takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mazza stalks Ramires and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ramires's face. Ramires staggers backwards, shaken.

Mazza is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ramires knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mazza escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ramires gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ramires drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Ramires as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Mazza screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Ramires! Nice submission victory there!
