Man is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Day Man Remix. Emory Majors had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Day Man!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man moves forwards but Majors connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Man blocks a leg kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Man. That snapped Majors's head back.
Some wild striking there from Majors.
Man misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Majors.
Majors gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Man.
The fighters circling - Man throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Majors throws a sloppy head kick
and Man counters with a nice uppercut.

Majors closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Man is trying to stand.
Majors sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Man defending well though.
Man keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Majors working the head and body with strikes.
Majors thows a huge punch but Man dodges it nicely.

Man avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Majors.
Man blocking the ground and pound attempt from Majors.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Majors throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Man to regain full guard.

Man is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Majors wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.
Majors distracts Man with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Majors throwing strikes but missing.
Man avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Majors scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Man keeping moving, preventing Majors from controlling successfully.

Man had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Majors defends it easily.
Majors preventing the sweep.
Majors trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Majors chips away with some ground and pound.
Majors looking to pass the guard.
Majors content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Majors.

Majors stops Man from standing up.
Majors controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Majors content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Majors definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Majors won't allow Man to get back to his feet.
Man keeping moving, preventing Majors from controlling successfully.
Man is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Majors throws an elbow that misses. Man uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Majors's guard. Nice move by Man!

Majors is trying to keep Man in close.
Majors looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Man looking to pass the guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Man in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Emory Majors dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


A shot to the body from Man misses
and Majors counters with a two punch combo.
Majors is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Man can do to turn this around?
Man swings for the body but Majors moves out of range.
Majors moves out of range of the strikes.
Man scores with a jab to the head.
Majors cracks Man with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A lazy left from Man finds it's target.
Majors bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Man throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Majors is looking for a counter combo.
Man wants to clinch up but Majors keeps it at a distance.
Majors lands a lovely overhand right.
Day Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man throws a lazy uppercut
and Majors counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Majors gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Man to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Emory Majors overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Majors preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Majors seems keen to control Man's posture.
Majors trying to keep a closed guard but Man is proving a slippery customer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Man postures up and lands a big shot to Majors's brow.

Man postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Man jabs Majors to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Man cracks Majors with a good jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Man. Majors does a little dance to reset his feet.
Emory Majors is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Majors fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Man now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Man avoids a punch combination nicely.
A little jabbing left from Man on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Man misses with a straight left.
Some wild striking there from Majors.
Majors swinging wildly here.

Man throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Majors sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Man jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Majors fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Majors appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Man scores with a nice right hand.
Man lands with a straight right. Majors didn't see that one coming.

Man connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Man misses with a looping right.
Man takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Majors ducks under a wild hook from Man.
Man swings for the body but Majors moves out of range.
Man looks to score with a jab to the body but Majors is just out of range.
Majors went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Majors moves away.
Majors is looking to counter punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Day Man showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Majors counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Man down! Majors is looking to finish but Man is intelligently defending himself.


Man is rocked!
Majors is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Man is still in real trouble! Can Majors finish him?
Man has momentary wrist control but Majors slips an elbow through the middle.
Majors passes into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Majors works his way into full mount!
Majors lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Man tries to reverse the position but Majors maintains control.
Man seems to have recovered his senses.
Man is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Man working to try and regain half guard.
Majors looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Majors looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Man covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Emory Majors!
Emory Majors very nearly forgot to thank [JMFC] Arashi Fighting Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
