Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Gordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laban Ladvik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Gordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Laban Ladvik!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Gordan jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ladvik manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Gordan swings around for an armbar but Ladvik sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gordan's guard.

Gordan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ladvik's guard.

Gordan is looking to pass into half guard but Ladvik pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Ladvik is in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ladvik throws an elbow that misses. Gordan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ladvik's guard. Nice move by Gordan!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gordan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gordan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ladvik looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ladvik looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ladvik!

Gordan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gordan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ladvik manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gordan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
