Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belfort comes to the cage accompanied by Burn It To The Ground. Silva has chosen Blood Brothers - Papa Roach as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks to throw the jab but Belfort is out of range.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Belfort swivels and escapes.
Fedor Belfort has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Silva.
Belfort slips a straight right by Silva.

Silva gets caught flat footed, as Belfort shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Belfort is working Silva over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belfort. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belfort connects with a couple of short punches.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.
Belfort stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Belfort has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Belfort cracks Silva with a solid left hand.

Belfort lands a couple of elbows.
Belfort postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Belfort accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva has momentary wrist control but Belfort slips an elbow through the middle.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Belfort sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard.
