PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Frazier Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Mouba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frazier Jr's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Calling All Cars. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ali Mouba!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Frazier Jr.
Frazier Jr punishes Mouba's body with a nice straight punch.
Frazier Jr ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Mouba tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Frazier Jr swivels and escapes.
Donk. Mouba catches Frazier Jr right on the button with a cross.

Frazier Jr lands a big uppercut and Mouba crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mouba looks OK. Frazier Jr waves Mouba back to his feet!

It looks like Ali Mouba has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Frazier Jr enables Mouba to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Frazier Jr manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mouba won't allow Frazier Jr to get back to his feet.
Mouba throws a big right hand that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mouba accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mouba postures up in Frazier Jr's guard and throws a big left but Frazier Jr blocks it.
Mouba works a leg free and moves into half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mouba working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Mouba seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Mouba thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Frazier Jr's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mouba in particular looking to stall.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Frazier Jr misses with a wild body shot.
Frazier Jr throws an uppercut from hell that sends Mouba clean off his feet! He's out cold! Frazier Jr stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

In his post fight interview, Nelson Frazier Jr started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
