Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxer misses with a few strikes there.
Boxer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Trinidad closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Boxer manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Trinidad prevents Boxer from standing back up.
Trinidad is looking to advance position but Boxer won't allow it.

Trinidad is looking for a kimura here.
Boxer wants to get back to his feet.

Trinidad is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Boxer is controlling Trinidad's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Trinidad is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Trinidad is looking for a kimura but Boxer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Trinidad to get the leverage.

Boxer works his way to full guard. Good work.
Boxer pulls Trinidad in close to prevent any damage.
Trinidad wants to pass the guard but Boxer is keeping the position.
Boxer wants to sweep here but Trinidad controlling him for the moment.

Trinidad has gone for a leg lock! Boxer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Trinidad's guard.

Boxer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Boxer scores with a jab to the head.
Trinidad shoots for a double leg takedown but Boxer sprawls well. He's pushed Trinidad's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Boxer lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A jab lands there for Boxer.
Boxer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Boxer lands a head kick. Trinidad smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Horrible takedown by Trinidad or perhaps it was just good defense by Boxer which made him look bad.

A nice inside leg kick there by Boxer. That's going to slow Trinidad down.

Boxer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

A head kick lands from Boxer that sends Trinidad to the canvas. Trinidad tries to scramble back to his feet but Boxer brings him back down into side control.

Trinidad is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boxer is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Boxer tries to move to mount but Trinidad blocks the move with his legs.

Boxer stands up.

Boxer lands a head kick that stumbles Trinidad and the fighters go to the mat.
Oh Trinidad is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Tyson Trinidad has been cut.
Boxer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Boxer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Trinidad seems to have got his legs back now.

Boxer gets to his feet. Trinidad looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A head kick misses from Boxer.
Boxer lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Boxer.
Trinidad chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Boxer can pounce on him.
Trinidad takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Barbara Boxer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boxer dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Trinidad. That did some damage!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Boxer misses with a wild combination.
Tyson Trinidad is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boxer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boxer lands a nice looking body kick.
Boxer throws a head kick that Trinidad semi-blocks.
Boxer moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Trinidad sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Boxer keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Trinidad tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Boxer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Boxer connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Trinidad tumbling to the canvas! Boxer pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Trinidad was done - good stoppage!
