PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nisse Indian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Wuzz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Indian might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Last of the Mohicans. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nisse Indian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Willy Wuzz!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Indian on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A leg kick checked by Indian.
Indian has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Indian throws a shot from downtown. Wuzz moves away and avoids it.
Wuzz has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Indian plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Willy Wuzz has been cut.
Indian misses with the body kick

and Wuzz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Indian's guard.
Indian keeping moving, preventing Wuzz from controlling successfully.
Wuzz wants to pass the guard but Indian is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wuzz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Indian is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Indian gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Nisse Indian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wuzz blocks a head kick by Indian.

Wuzz closes the distance and clinches up with Indian, looking for a takedown. Wuzz pushes Indian against the cage but Indian circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Indian is pressed up against the cage. Wuzz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Indian down to the mat. Indian avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Wuzz ducks under a wild hook from Indian.
Indian looks to land a left hand but Wuzz moved out of range nicely.
Wuzz doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Indian ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wuzz moves away.
Wuzz changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wuzz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Indian defends it well.

Indian pushes Wuzz off looking to stand but Wuzz dives back in and keeps control.

Wuzz is looking for a kimura but Indian is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wuzz to get the leverage.

Wuzz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Indian sees it coming and defends easily.

Wuzz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Indian has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wuzz is pressing down on Indian's thigh, looking to free his foot. Indian is holding on for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wuzz is controlling the pace.
Wuzz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Wuzz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Indian defends it well.
Indian is trying to stand.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nisse Indian dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Willy Wuzz's cut.

Indian shoots in looking for a takedown but Wuzz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Indian's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Wuzz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Wuzz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wuzz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Indian is just riding it out for now. Wuzz eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wuzz is trying to control the action in half guard but Indian is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Wuzz passes to side control.

Wuzz works to advance to full mount. Indian defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Indian slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

A close second round but Willy Wuzz will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Indian is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Wuzz is trying to drag Indian to the mat but Indian just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Indian gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Wuzz regains guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Indian wants to stand but Wuzz has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Indian passes into half guard.
Wuzz keeping control of the position.
Wuzz won't allow Indian to pass to mount.

Indian content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Indian wants to stand up but Wuzz is controlling the position.
Wuzz moves into full guard.
Wuzz wants to sweep here but Indian controlling him for the moment.
Indian's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Wuzz pulls Indian in close to his closed guard and prevents Indian from doing any damage or advancing position.

Indian is thwarting Wuzz's attempts to control the position.
Wuzz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wuzz regains full guard. Nicely done.
Wuzz pulls Indian in close to prevent any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Indian stays in close to Wuzz's body and controls the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A big left from Indian misses.
Wuzz was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nisse Indian showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Indian has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
