The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Catalan moves into the clinch.
Barron is trying to maintain a safe position but Catalan gets an underhook and turns Barron into the cage.

Barron throws a knee to the head but misses.

Catalan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barron thuds his right hand into Catalan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Barron shoots in and drives through. Catalan sprawls well.

Catalan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Barron, pushing him back against the cage.

Sloppy strikes from Catalan. Those never looked like landing.

Catalan closes the distance and pushes Barron back into the cage.

Barron shoots for a takedown but Catalan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Barron counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Catalan moves into the clinch successfully.
Barron throws a knee to the head but misses.

Catalan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Barron is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
