The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Olujimi.

Horrible takedown attempt by Pellegrini or perhaps it was just good defense by Olujimi, which made it look bad.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Olujimi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Olujimi stalks Pellegrini and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pellegrini's face. Pellegrini staggers backwards, shaken.
Pellegrini shoots for a double leg takedown but Olujimi sprawls well. He's pushed Pellegrini's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Pellegrini throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Olujimi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pellegrini is in Olujimi's guard.

Olujimi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
