The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smokeleaf takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Maverick Smokeleaf has been cut.
Smokeleaf cracks Marabou with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Smokeleaf fails with an attempt to clinch.
A left and a right from Marabou both land. Nice combination.

Marabou closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Smokeleaf's guard.

Smokeleaf kicks Marabou off and gets to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Marabou moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Smokeleaf goes down! Can Marabou finish him!?

Smokeleaf is rocked!
Marabou makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Smokeleaf is still in real trouble! Can Marabou finish him?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marabou arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Smokeleaf's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Gary Marabou!
