Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alves is fending him off so far but Kim persists. Nope, Alves circles away and we're back to standing.

Kim fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Alves tries to bum rush Kim with a series of wild strikes but Kim uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kim replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Alves blocks it well.
Alves is looking to clinch but Kim is avoiding it.
Kim's coach down at Ararigboya Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kim's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Alves is trying to break the clinch but Kim is controlling him.

Kim has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Alves after a bit of a struggle.

Kim working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alves doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alves manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Alves is posturing up here but Kim has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Alves tries to roll out but it's too tight and Alves has to tap! Slick submission there by Kim!
