The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a nice looking body kick.
Slaughter walks into a straight right hand from Silva.
Slaughter blocks a jab.
Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Slaughter tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Silva manages to circle out of the way.
Slaughter swings for the body but Silva moves out of range.

Slaughter rushes Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Silva lands a nice shot to the body.
Slaughter prevents a body shot from Silva.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slaughter is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Silva is defending well for now.

Slaughter keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Silva's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slaughter gets to his feet and stands over Silva, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Silva felt that one! Slaughter unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Silva from any more punishment!
