Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darryl Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maxwell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Black Label Society - Southern Dissolution. Darryl Maxwell has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzalez cracks Maxwell with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Gonzalez moves into range and connects with a jab.
Maxwell swings widly with a right hand
and Gonzalez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gonzalez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Maxwell's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gonzalez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Maxwell scrambles back to his feet.

Gonzalez feints a jab promting Maxwell to slip. Gonzalez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Maxwell slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Maxwell looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Maxwell moves away from the strike by Gonzalez.
Gonzalez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Maxwell. Maxwell circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

A little jabbing left from Gonzalez on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gonzalez might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
