The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Guerra is trying to defend but Adams finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Adams seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Adams wants to control but Guerra is keeping him busy.
Guerra is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guerra looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams not doing much here.
Let's hope that Adams has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Guerra is staying active underneath Adams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Adams with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Adams takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Adams lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Adams uses his free foot to push down on Guerra's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Guerra.
Adams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Adams cracks Guerra with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
