Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ty Prudhomme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will WIsdom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will WIsdom has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prudhomme dives in for a single leg takedown but WIsdom sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Horrible takedown attempt by Prudhomme or perhaps it was just good defense by WIsdom, which made it look bad.
Prudhomme stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Prudhomme wants it to stay on the feet.
WIsdom goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
WIsdom displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Prudhomme.

Prudhomme shoots for a double leg takedown but WIsdom sprawls well. He's pushed Prudhomme's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

WIsdom postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Prudhomme is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of WIsdom, into his guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from WIsdom enables Prudhomme to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. WIsdom manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if WIsdom can do anything to dispel that myth.
Prudhomme won't allow WIsdom to sweep him here.

WIsdom escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Prudhomme gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

WIsdom wants to sweep but no luck.
Prudhomme might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
WIsdom avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
WIsdom wants to control but Prudhomme passes easily into half guard.
Prudhomme is just content to waste time from the top position. WIsdom takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Prudhomme leaves WIsdom with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
WIsdom shoots in but no luck this time.

Prudhomme tries to counter by moving into the clinch but WIsdom manages to circle out of the way.

WIsdom tries to score a power double leg takedown but Prudhomme sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten WIsdom somewhat.

and WIsdom decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Prudhomme's guard.
Prudhomme is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
WIsdom passes easily into side control. Nice work.
WIsdom tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Prudhomme is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Let's hope that WIsdom has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Prudhomme is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

WIsdom remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

WIsdom jumps guard but Prudhomme stands there with WIsdom around his waist. WIsdom gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
