Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Takachi Sakushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Bruens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruens is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Go Down In History. Paul Bruens is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruens misses with a lunging right hand
and Sakushi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bruens throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bruens has a takedown stuffed.
Sakushi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Bruens pushes Sakushi up against the cage in a clinch.
Sakushi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bruens is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bruens manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bruens shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sakushi but Sakushi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bruens looks to score with a jab to the body but Sakushi is just out of range.
Sakushi feinted with a counter takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bruens closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sakushi is refusing to be controlled, as Bruens sits in half guard.
Bruens trying to control the pace.
Bruens is looking to advance position but Sakushi won't allow it.
Bruens perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Sakushi blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bruens.

Bruens performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bruens shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sakushi defends it nicely.
Sakushi attempts a counter takedown but Bruens avoids it well and moves away.
Takachi Sakushi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Bruens.
Sakushi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bruens as he jumps to the side.
Sakushi looking to score a takedown here. Bruens is defending well but Sakushi drives through and ends up in Bruens's guard.

Bruens looking for a sweep. Not yet Bruens, not yet.
Bruens is pulling down on Sakushi's head. It's preventing any offense from Sakushi, at least for the moment.
Sakushi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bruens swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bruens wants to sweep here but Sakushi controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bruens can't keep his opponent in guard - Sakushi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sakushi not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sakushi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bruens keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bruens has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sakushi is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sakushi is working for a kimura but Bruens is defending it quite comfortably.
Bruens felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Sakushi not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bruens wants to control but Sakushi is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Sakushi lands with a punch from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Paul Bruens will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bruens shoots in for a takedown but Sakushi shows good takedown defense.
Sakushi feinted with a counter takedown.
Bruens misses with a takedown attempt
and Sakushi counters with a shoot takedown. Bruens fights it but they end up in guard.
Sakushi trying to control the position from guard on top but Bruens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sakushi is really struggling to control Bruens but he's trying to hold on to the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sakushi drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sakushi as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Bruens screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sakushi! Nice submission victory there!

In his post fight interview, Takachi Sakushi started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Paul Bruens was interviewed post fight and said 'The judges were paid.'.
