Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sonjay Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor McConnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Conor McConnell was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

McConnell swings wildly with an uppercut but Jenkins uses good head movement to avoid it.

McConnell tries to throw a body punch but Jenkins avoids it by throwing McConnell back against the cage.

McConnell clobbers Jenkins with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jenkins takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
McConnell has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Let's hope that McConnell has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from McConnell.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jenkins is on top in guard.

McConnell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

McConnell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

McConnell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jenkins stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McConnell feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jenkinss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

McConnell slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

McConnell uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Nice uppercut lands for McConnell. That snapped Jenkins's head back.
Jenkins throws a series of punches but McConnell avoids them all with ease.
McConnell looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Conor McConnell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McConnell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
