Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christoper Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Levine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Levine will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levine throws a front kick aimed at Blake's knee but Blake avoids it well.
Levine tries to score a power double leg takedown but Blake sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Levine somewhat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Levine.
Blake was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Levine clinches up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Levine fails to pull guard.
Christoper Blake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Levine.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Blake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Blake has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Levine is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Blake scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Blake tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Levine defends well and Blake ends up having to push Levine into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blake connects with a nice short shot to Levine's temple.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Blake lands a nice short elbow.
Blake seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Levine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Richard Levine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Levine enables Blake to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Levine manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Blake lands a couple of digs.
Blake with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice takedown defense from Blake. No joy for Levine on that attempt.

Blake pulls guard effortlessly.
Blake bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Levine's guard.

Blake works over Levine with some ground and pound from guard.
Blake keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Levine's head.
Blake makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Levine wants to control the position but Blake says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Levine tries to control but Blake manages to take his back.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Blake cracks Levine with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Levine from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Blake really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
