Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brad Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brad Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Steel!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steel shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Castro napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Castro manages to get back to half guard.
Steel not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Steel throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Castro has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Steel is working away from the top position though.
Castro is refusing to be controlled, as Steel sits in half guard.
Castro tries to kick Steel off but Steel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steel wants to control but Castro is keeping him busy.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Castro tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Steel prevents Castro from improving his position.
Castro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Steel wants to control but Castro is keeping him busy.
Castro is doing well to control the position and prevent Steel from advancing to side control.
Castro is staying active underneath Steel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Steel lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Steel moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Castro.
Steel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Castro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Castro wants to control but Steel postures up.
Castro tries to buck Steel off but Steel is having none of it.
Castro is not content to let Steel control the position.
Castro manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Steel is looking to escape.
Castro working over Steel with some ground and pound. Steel looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Castro is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Castro seems to be looking for submissions.
Steel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Castro sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Steel defending well though.
Steel controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

Jake Steel dominated that round.

Steel with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Steel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Steel wants it to stay on the feet.
Jake Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


Castro is rocked!


It looks like Brad Castro has been cut.
Steel closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Castro out cold! Castro corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jake Steel!
