Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Avery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viggo Heitannan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avery kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Godspeed - Throwdown. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Avery!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Viggo Heitannan!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Avery.
Viggo Heitannan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good leg kick by Heitannan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Avery blocks a head kick by Heitannan.
Heitannan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Avery counters with a thumping low kick.
Avery ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Heitannan moves away.
Avery throws a nice head kick!
Avery scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Heitannan doesn't seem bothered though.
Heitannan misses with a two punch combination.
Heitannan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Heitannan.
It looks like Sean Avery has been cut.
Avery looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Avery lands with a shot to the body.
Avery throws a poor cross that misses
and Heitannan counters with a one-two to the body.

Heitannan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Heitannan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Heitannan throws out a loose jab but Avery uses good head movement to avoid it.
Avery appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Avery is looking to slow Heitannan down with leg kicks.

Avery gets a double leg takedown into Heitannan's guard.
Avery stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heitannan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Avery is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Avery's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Heitannan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Avery. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Heitannan controls Avery momentarily but Avery frees himself.
Avery landing with the ground and pound.
Heitannan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Avery postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Heitannan trying to keep a closed guard but Avery is proving a slippery customer.
Avery pushing down on Heitannan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Avery thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Heitannan's head.

Avery is nestled in close to Heitannan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Heitannan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Avery winds up and cracks Heitannan with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Heitannan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Avery is working away from the top position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Avery lands a nice short elbow.
Heitannan is trying to maintain the position but Avery is very close to passing his half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Heitannan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Heitannan squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Heitannan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Avery avoids the attempt from Heitannan to control.
Avery scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Heitannan?
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Avery cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Avery connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Avery is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Heitannan goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Avery!
