Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rupert Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Train Well (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rupert Bright has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Rupert Bright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Train Well!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Bright with that takedown attempt.
Bright lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Well connects with a body shot.

Well has managed to clinch.
Well struggles to land a body shot inside as Bright controls his hands.
Bright lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Well keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bright's efforts to push away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bright wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Well has him pressed against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Well is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Well pulls guard effortlessly.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Well is on top in guard.

Well prevents Bright from getting back to his feet.
Well trying to control but Bright is working from the bottom.
Well slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Well wants to stand but Bright is controlling his arm.
The ground and pound from Well seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Well taking a breather here.

Well throws a strike aimed at the side of Bright's head but Bright avoids it well.
Bright is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Well asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Well is looking to take a break and control but Bright is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bright is trying to get back to half guard.
Well wants to stand but Bright has his arm trapped.

Well goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bright has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Well but great work by Bright.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bright controls the position.
Bright trying to control the action but Well is working from the bottom.

You can see the frustration on Well's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Bright working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well is trying to get back to half guard.
Bright will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bright is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Well is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bright landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Well wants to get back to his feet but Bright drags him back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rupert Bright will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Well looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Well trying to control the position from guard on top but Bright is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Well stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bright swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bright has his hands on Well's head, controlling the position.
Bright manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Well manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Well is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Train Well has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bright showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Bright stands and steps away. Well gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Well connects with an inside leg kick.
Bright throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Well's head.

Well feints and as Bright raises his hands in defense, Well changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bright looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Bright has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Well is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Well has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bright uses from the top position.

Well is working an open guard so Bright takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Bright throws a head kick that Well semi-blocks.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Well rushes Bright and presses him up against the cage.
Well keeps control of Bright as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

The crowd cheers as Bright lands an impressive looking overhand right. Well doesn't seem phased though.

Bright shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bright showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bright is trying to control. Well wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Well trying to control here.

Well looking for submissions off his back.
Bright wants to lay and pray for a moment but Well keeps working.

Bright controlling the action here.
Well wants to control but Bright is keeping busy.

Bright wants to work for an arm triangle but Well is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bright landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well is staying active underneath Bright, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Well decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bright blocking the ground and pound attempt from Well.

Bright fails in his attempt to clinch.

Well drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bright wants to stand but Well is controlling the position.
Well being controlled here momentarily.

Well wants to control from the top but Bright keeps moving.

Well must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bright wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bright changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Well looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Well is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bright is controlling him well.
Bright is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Well will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Well is looking for a sweep.

Rupert Bright showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bright, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
