PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mc Cullough Erwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulin Gourbiere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gourbiere displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Erwin throws out the jab.
Gourbiere shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Erwin sprawls well. Erwin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gourbiere gets slowly back to his feet.
Gourbiere blocks a jab.
Gourbiere shoots in for a takedown but Erwin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Erwin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Gourbiere takes the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gourbiere stalling in the clinch but Erwin improves position.
Erwin can't break the clinch.
Gourbiere is trying to pull guard but Erwin has him pressed against the cage.
Mc Cullough Erwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulin Gourbiere.
Gourbiere misses with an elbow over the top.

Gourbiere is pushing Erwin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Erwin has had enough of the clinch but Gourbiere keeps him there for the moment.

Erwin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Mc Cullough Erwin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Erwin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Erwin wants it to stay on the feet.
A little feinted left hand from Erwin on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Gourbiere shoots in for a takedown but Erwin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Erwin scores with a jab to the jaw.
Gourbiere throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gourbiere looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Erwin is looking to counter punch.
Gourbiere misses with a takedown attempt
and Erwin counters with a nice uppercut.
Gourbiere shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Erwin as he avoids it easily.
Erwin throws an overhand right that drops Gourbiere like a sack of potatoes! Erwin dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
