Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Troy Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexey Oleynik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Larson seems to be looking for submissions.

I've been told that Oleynik has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Oleynik might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Larson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Oleynik is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Larson is aware though and is defending well.

Oleynik drops back looking for a leg! Larson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Larson manages to kick Oleynik off! Oleynik jumps back into Larson's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oleynik is stalling here. Larson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Oleynik seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Larson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Oleynik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Larson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Oleynik is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Larson frees his head nicely. Oh but Oleynik has switched to an armbar! Larson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
