Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacArthur throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Acer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
It looked like Acer was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
MacArthur rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Acer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

MacArthur throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Acer.
Acer is looking to score with low kicks.

Douglas MacArthur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
MacArthur ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and MacArthur counters with a series of strikes. Acer will be more careful next time no doubt.

Acer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says MacArthur as he avoids it easily.
MacArthur tries a head kick but it misses.
Acer cracks MacArthur with a good jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
MacArthur throws a leg kick but Acer checks it.
MacArthur throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
MacArthur throws a head kick that misses.
Acer takes a kick to the side of the head.
A head kick from MacArthur lands but Acer takes it in his stride.
MacArthur lands with a kick to the temple. Acer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Acer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
MacArthur swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

MacArthur paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
MacArthur moves away from the strike by Acer.
A telegraphed right hand from Acer misses the target.
MacArthur throws a lazy uppercut
and Acer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
MacArthur connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
MacArthur looks to land a combination. Acer sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
MacArthur looks to throw the jab but Acer is out of range.

and Acer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Acer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Acer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of MacArthur's head.
MacArthur wants to stand but Acer is controlling the position.

Acer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Acer prevents MacArthur from getting back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
MacArthur is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Acer.
MacArthur tests Acer's chin there with a solid looking shot.
MacArthur thuds a left hand into Acer's body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
