Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Bob Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gabe Zagarno!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zagarno swings for the body but Savage moves out of range.
Zagarno shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Savage on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Savage tries to get out of the position.
Zagarno prevents Savage from standing back up.
Savage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zagarno on the ground.
Savage keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Zagarno sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Savage defending well though.
Zagarno seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Zagarno has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Nonprofit Vegas Elite $50 ($1000 value). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zagarno's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Zagarno wants to pass the guard but Savage is defending well.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Savage is in trouble now - Zagarno has advanced to mount!

Zagarno is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Savage to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Savage shrugs it off.
Zagarno has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Zagarno lands a nice shot to the head.
Savage takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Savage is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zagarno won't let Savage get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Zagarno lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Oh Savage is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zagarno looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Zagarno working for a guillotine from mount but Savage is in no mood to give up.
Zagarno tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Zagarno is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Zagarno! Savage is hurt baaadly! Zagarno is firing away with more strikes - Savage is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
