The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Aybara lands an elbow just above Cavalcante 's eye.

Aybara creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
With the fighters up against the cage, Aybara throws an elbow but misses.
Aybara tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Cavalcante changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Aybara fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Vinícius Cavalcante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looked like Aybara wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

And Cavalcante tries to counter it with a takedown but Aybara pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Cavalcante displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Aybara throws out the jab.

Cavalcante throws a chopping leg kick but Aybara manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've been hearing reports that Aybara has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Aybara moves forwards but Cavalcante connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Cavalcante shoots in looking for a takedown but Aybara manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cavalcante's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cavalcante swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A punch lands to the side of Cavalcante 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Aybara feints and then cracks Cavalcante's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cavalcante down.
Aybara lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Aybara has closed the distance and engaged Cavalcante in a clinch.
Aybara can't find room to land a body shot as Cavalcante controls the action.

Perrin Aybara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vinícius Cavalcante.
Cavalcante wants to take the fight to the mat but Aybara manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Cavalcante is trying to trip Aybara. He has hold of a leg but Aybara is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cavalcante persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Aybara's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Cavalcante is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Aybara defends well.

Aybara keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cavalcante's head.
Cavalcante has his feet on Aybara's thighs here. He's pushed Aybara off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Aybara screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
