Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Demar Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boko Shambles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Demar Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boko Shambles!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shambles needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there.

Shambles has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Jones connects with a leg kick. Shambles looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Jones's corner calls for a 1-2. Jones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shambles takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

A bone on bone clash there as Shambles blocks the leg kick.
Jones feints a jab promting Shambles to slip. Jones then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shambles slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shambles.
Jones was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Jones is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Shambles has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jones.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jones pushes Shambles off looking to stand but Shambles dives back in and keeps control.

Shambles tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Shambles drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jones manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shambles has Jones in his guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Demar Jones.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
