PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Daly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cooper comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Not Afraid . Tyler Daly is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cooper shoots in and gets a takedown into Daly's guard.
Daly is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Cooper trying to control but Daly is working from the bottom.
Daly utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cooper landing some decent shots from guard.
Cooper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Daly is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cooper is controlling him.
Cooper tries to free his leg and advance position but Daly is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cooper stands up over Daly, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Daly not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cooper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Daly's head.
Daly keeping moving, preventing Cooper from controlling successfully.

Daly looking for a sweep. Not yet Daly, not yet.
Cooper throwing strikes from guard but Daly blocks nicely.

Cooper drops back looking for a leg! Daly is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Daly manages to kick Cooper off! Cooper jumps back into Daly's guard.
Daly is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cooper is controlling him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Daly can do anything to dispel that myth.
Daly is looking to stand back up but Cooper counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Daly.
Daly is trying to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Daly pushes Cooper off looking to stand but Cooper dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daly is trying to maintain the position but Cooper is very close to passing his half guard.
Cooper looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Daly with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Cooper seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Cooper prevents Daly from improving his position.
Daly wants to get back to his feet.
Cooper working over Daly with some ground and pound. Daly looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Daly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cooper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Daly looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cooper is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Cooper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cooper slips a nice elbow through Daly's hands, connecting with Daly's forehead.
Cooper looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Cooper thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Daly's head.

Cooper is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Cooper prevents Daly from standing back up.

Cooper looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Daly has a hand on Cooper's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Cooper takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Cooper jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Daly manages to avoid the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Cooper dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Daly closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cooper's guard.

Daly is sitting in close to Cooper's body. Cooper has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Daly is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Daly is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Cooper.
