Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Your Nightmare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz misses with a series of wild punches.
Ruiz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Nightmare manages to break the clinch.
Ruiz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ruiz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ruiz tries to bum rush Nightmare with a series of wild strikes but Nightmare uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nightmare looks to land a combination. Ruiz sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Damien Ruiz has been cut.

so Ruiz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nightmare defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ruiz.
Your Nightmare overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nightmare is desperately trying to improve his position but Ruiz has a good base and remains in mount.
Ruiz is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Nightmare has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Nightmare!

Ruiz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ruiz lands in his opponent's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nightmare is on top in guard.

and Ruiz counters with a shoot takedown. Nightmare fights it but they end up in guard.

Ruiz has gone for a leg lock! Nightmare slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ruiz's guard.

Nightmare stands and steps away. Ruiz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ruiz tries to close the distance and clinch but Nightmare swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Damien Ruiz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nightmare shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nightmare showed some decent athleticism there.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Your Nightmare.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nightmare, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
