The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalchuck misses with a few strikes there.
Rubble throws the kick towards the body but Kowalchuck avoids it.
Kowalchuck looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Rubble takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rubble shoots in but no luck this time.
Kowalchuck with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kowalchuck avoids the head kick by Rubble.
Rubble misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rubble looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kowalchuck slips under a jab.

Rubble drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kowalchuck had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rubble defends it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kowalchuck utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kowalchuck escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rubble gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rubble has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rubble is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kowalchuck has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rubble is looking to defend but Kowalchuck has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rubble! Kowalchuck pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rubble taps out and this one is all over!
