Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rankka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Babak defends it nicely.
Rankka wants to clinch.
Babak tries to bum rush Rankka with a series of wild strikes but Rankka uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rankka raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Babak leaves Rankka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rankka shoots in but Babak avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mohammed Babak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jarkka Rankka.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rankka throws a nice looking combination but Babak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rankka misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rankka tries to clinch up

and Babak counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rankka!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Babak has an Americana. Rankka didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Babak is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Babak hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
