Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Gaines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henrik Danielsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danielsson throws a head kick that misses.
Danielsson checks a low kick from Gaines.

Gaines closes the distance and pushes Danielsson back into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Danielsson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Danielsson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gaines is defending well for now.
Danielsson is trying to pull guard but Gaines has him pressed against the cage.

Gaines's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Danielsson shoots and misses
and Gaines counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Danielsson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gaines defends well and Danielsson ends up having to push Gaines into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tristan Gaines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henrik Danielsson.

Gaines shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gaines showed some decent athleticism there.
Danielsson is trying to maintain the position but Gaines is very close to passing his half guard.

Gaines is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Danielsson defends it well.
Danielsson keeps control of the position for the meantime.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Danielsson is looking for a sweep.
Danielsson can't do much from the bottom here.
Danielsson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Gaines is staying active.

Gaines is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Danielsson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Danielsson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gaines's best efforts.

It looks like Gaines is going to stand back up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Danielsson gets full guard.
Gaines landing with the ground and pound.

Danielsson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gaines rolls with it to try and escape but Danielsson cranks on the arm and Gaines is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
