Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Fraser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergai Katanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katanov shoots in looking for a takedown but Fraser manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Katanov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Katanov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fraser looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Katanov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Katanov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fraser can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Katanov has control of Fraser's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Fraser regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Fraser has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fraser is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Katanov gets his way!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Sergai Katanov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sergai Katanov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Fraser will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sergai Katanov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Katanov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
