Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe McClane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greer Leonardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe McClane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greer Leonardson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonardson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
McClane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Leonardson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McClane is trying to defend but Leonardson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
McClane makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McClane.
Leonardson trying to control but McClane is working from the bottom.

McClane is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Leonardson is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McClane tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Leonardson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Leonardson tries to free his leg and advance position but McClane is retaining full guard.
McClane controlling the position.

McClane looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Leonardson wants to control from the top but McClane keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
McClane buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Leonardson pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Leonardson moves out of range as McClane strikes.
Leonardson thows a left - swing and a miss!
McClane misses with a kick to the body.

Leonardson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McClane to the ground. Leonardson is now in McClane's guard.

McClane has his foot on Leonardson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leonardson works his way back into a safe position though.
Leonardson wants to control from the top but McClane keeps moving.
McClane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leonardson is one step ahead there.

Leonardson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Leonardson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
McClane has his hands on Leonardson's head, controlling the position.
McClane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leonardson is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
McClane fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Leonardson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McClane enables Leonardson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McClane manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
McClane tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McClane is pulling down on Leonardson's head. It's preventing any offense from Leonardson, at least for the moment.
McClane trying to control the position.
Leonardson wants to control from the top but McClane keeps moving.
McClane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
McClane pulls Leonardson in close to prevent any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greer Leonardson dominated that round.
That's time! McClane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Leonardson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A jab from Leonardson finds it's way through McClane's defenses.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from McClane, right into the meat.

McClane takes the fight into the clinch.
Leonardson blocking some punches.
McClane fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Leonardson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Leonardson manages to end up in side control.
McClane can't do much from the bottom here.
Greer Leonardson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Leonardson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McClane is not content to let Leonardson control the position.

McClane is letting Leonardson control him for a moment.
McClane is trying to get back to half guard.
McClane struggling a bit here.

Leonardson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Leonardson is looking to take a break and control but McClane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McClane will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A jab from McClane misses.
Leonardson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Leonardson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McClane did well to prevent Leonardson getting side control.
McClane is refusing to be controlled, as Leonardson sits in half guard.

Leonardson controlling the pace.
Leonardson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

McClane is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Leonardson pulls his head out easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McClane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Leonardson trying to mount his opponent but McClane defends it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Leonardson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Leonardson slips a straight right by McClane.
Leonardson ducks under a wild hook from McClane.
Leonardson scores with a head kick. McClane tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
McClane lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
McClane misses with a low kick.
Greer Leonardson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Leonardson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McClane sprawls well initially but Leonardson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Leonardson is just content to waste time from the top position. McClane takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
McClane pulls Leonardson in to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greer Leonardson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


McClane pushes Leonardson away with a front kick.
Leonardson misses the body punch
and McClane counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McClane.
Leonardson throws a nice head kick!


McClane is rocked!

Leonardson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McClane's guard.
Oh McClane is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

McClane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leonardson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leonardson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Leonardson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
McClane seems to have got his legs back now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leonardson looking to sit in guard and control but McClane gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

McClane wants to stand but Leonardson is controlling his posture from full guard.

McClane gets to his feet. Leonardson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Leonardson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Leonardson throws a body punch but McClane moves out of range.
Joe McClane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Leonardson tries a head kick but it misses.
McClane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A slapping leg kick lands for McClane.
Greer Leonardson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leonardson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

McClane gets caught flat footed, as Leonardson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

McClane looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McClane is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Leonardson moves into full mount! McClane won't be happy about that!
