Auzier comes into the arena with Champion it's Back! blaring out of the sound system. Saul Alavarez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alavarez displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Auzier fails with a takedown attempt.
Despite the aggression on Alavarez's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Auzier tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Alavarez defends well and Auzier ends up having to push Alavarez into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Alavarez feints the counter takedown.
Alavarez misses with a few strikes there.
Saul Alavarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Auzier dives in and grabs Alavarez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alavarez pushes down on Auzier's head and hops out.

Auzier shoots in for a takedown but Alavarez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Auzier goes for a takedown in the clinch but Alavarez prevents it.

Alavarez has hold of one of Auzier's legs. Auzier is fighting the takedown attempt but Alavarez gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Alavarez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Auzier wants to free his trapped foot but Alavarez is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Auzier is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Alavarez is forced to tap! Great finish!

Adriano Auzier decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
