PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ieata Lotapewp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silvano Assunicao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ieata Lotapewp has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ieata Lotapewp seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lotapewp stuffs the takedown attempt from Assunicao. Assunicao gets slowly back to his feet.

Assunicao throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Lotapewp counter with a right hand.

Lotapewp feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ieata Lotapewp will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lotapewp's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Assunicao unloads with some shots from mount but Lotapewp bucks and avoids them well.

Assunicao is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lotapewp has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lotapewp!
