Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Levine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Gustavo Levine has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lance Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher swats away the attempt to clinch by Levine.
Fisher drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Levine defends it well.
Levine is looking to clinch but Fisher is avoiding it.

Fisher fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Levine, pushing him back against the cage.
Levine wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fisher has him pressed against the cage.
Levine is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Fisher breaks the clinch.
Levine tries to clinch but Fisher is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fisher's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Levine landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Fisher's coach down at Tsar's Iron Addicts Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fisher's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Fisher wants the takedown. Levine is fighting it off but Fisher persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Levine's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fisher lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Fisher not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Fisher wants to pass the guard but Levine is keeping the position.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Levine tries to clinch but Fisher moves out of range.
Fisher wants to counter the offense by Levine and move into the clinch position.

Levine pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Levine tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fisher manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Levine takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fisher shoots in looking for a takedown but Levine manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fisher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Fisher shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Levine sprawls well. Levine wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fisher gets slowly back to his feet.
Gustavo Levine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lance Fisher.
Fisher throws a push kick but Levine slaps the foot to one side.

Fisher has Levine pressed against the cage, preventing Levine from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Fisher crunches a lovely knee into Levine's ribcage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Levine is trying to push Fisher away but Fisher has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Levine is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Levine has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fisher is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Levine is trying to break free.
The referee calls for Fisher to work.
Levine can't find room to land a body shot as Fisher controls the action.
Fisher scores with a knee to the head.
Lance Fisher seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Levine tries to break the clinch but Fisher is controlling the position.
Fisher is pushing Levine up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Levine misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Fisher.

Fisher turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Fisher tries for a kimura but Levine is defending well.

Fisher has control of Levine's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Levine regains control of the situation pretty easily.

A big strike lands for Fisher! That's really hurt Levine and he's turned his back - Fisher keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Fisher jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
