Patterson has chosen Let It Burn as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patterson closes the distance and clinches up with Contador, looking for a takedown. Patterson pushes Contador against the ropes but Contador circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Contador knocks out Patterson with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Contador before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Contador picks up the big W with a huge KO!
