The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Barnes catches Bosh right on the button with a cross.
Barnes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bosh moves away.
Bosh throws out a loose jab but Barnes uses good head movement to avoid it.
Barnes avoids a kick to the body.
Barnes misses with a two punch combination.
Bosh comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bosh fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Barnes tries to close the distance and clinch but Bosh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've been hearing reports that Barnes has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Chris Bosh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It seemed like Bosh was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Barnes cracks Bosh with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Barnes is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee is keeping an eye on Bosh - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
We've been informed that Bosh has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Barnes lands a left and a right that send Bosh crashing to the mat, dazed. Barnes thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
