Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cosme Cosme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akseli Suokuokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Suokuokka's choice of entrance music: The Bags - Cavemen Rejoice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suokuokka fails with a takedown attempt.
Cosme throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cosme is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Beat Down Under that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Cosme has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Suokuokka is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cosme.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Suokuokka working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Suokuokka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cosme can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cosme lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Suokuokka has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Suokuokka and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
