Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Togi Makabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Opdauhl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makabe kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Immigrant Song. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Opdauhl lands a nice looking kick to the body. Makabe takes a step back to recover.
Makabe tries to close the distance and clinch but Opdauhl swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Makabe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Opdauhl moves away.
Opdauhl bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Togi Makabe's cut is getting worse.
Makabe takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Opdauhl thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Makabe if he has to take too many more of those.
Opdauhl turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Makabe tries to clinch but Opdauhl is having none of it.

Makabe throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Opdauhl feints the counter takedown.
Makabe tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Makabe misses with a hook. Opdauhl ducked under it nicely.
Opdauhl connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A slapping leg kick lands for Opdauhl.
Makabe waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Opdauhl.
Makabe looks to score with a jab to the body but Opdauhl is just out of range.

Opdauhl darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Opdauhl wants to free his trapped foot but Makabe is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Opdauhl slips a nice elbow through Makabe's hands, connecting with Makabe's forehead.

Makabe tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
