Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aulis Tyrmaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyrmaaja lands a head kick!

It looks like Shaun Johnson has been cut.
Tyrmaaja displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson.
Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.
Tyrmaaja tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnson was well out of range. Poor timing from Tyrmaaja.

Johnson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tyrmaaja at a distance.

Johnson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tyrmaaja. Tyrmaaja circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Johnson shoots for a takedown but Tyrmaaja saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A nice side step and Tyrmaaja releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Johnson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet.
Shaun Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson connects with a body shot that sends Tyrmaaja's belly button to the back.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson.

Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tyrmaaja's waist but Tyrmaaja gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Tyrmaaja tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tyrmaaja manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Tyrmaaja has taken the fight into the clinch.

Johnson is trying to maintain a safe position but Tyrmaaja gets an underhook and turns Johnson into the cage.
Tyrmaaja wants to take the fight to the mat but Johnson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Johnson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tyrmaaja is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Johnson to the mat. Johnson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tyrmaaja can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson looks like he's trying to stand up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Johnson is pressing down on Tyrmaaja's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Tyrmaaja is looking to stand up but Johnson won't let him.

Tyrmaaja gets to his feet and stands over Johnson, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Johnson felt that one! Tyrmaaja unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Johnson from any more punishment!
