The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaaka connects with the punch.
Kipelainen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
As Kipelainen looks to move away, Vaaka throws a big counter combo bu Kipelainen just gets out of the way.
Vaaka swinging wildly here.

Kipelainen clinches up with Vaaka and pushes him back against the cage.
Vaaka prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kipelainen tries for a takedown. No joy.
A frustrated look appears on Vaaka's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kipelainen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vaaka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Vaaka lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kipelainen backs up against the cage.

Vaaka leaves Kipelainen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
It looked like Vaaka was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Niilo Vaaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kivi Kipelainen.

Vaaka looks to land a combination. Kipelainen sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
